Wren

Where the hell is Lynnie? She should have been home yesterday, and her phone is going straight to voicemail.

Dammit! I should have been more forceful about her installing that find me phone app so I could GPS her location. I’m getting worried. Instead of pressuring her to do it, I just smiled and rolled my eyes at her refusal. In hindsight, I should’ve pushed. If I had, then I’d know where she is instead of being in the dark and worrying about her.

I pick up the phone again, thinking that the hundredth time I call her, she’ll answer, but she doesn’t.

My mind races, has she been in a wreck, or kidnapped? But then I remember I’m talking about my Lynnie, and she’s not stupid enough to put herself in danger like that.

Maybe she’s met a pack, one that needed a beta like her to balance them out, one that has a male omega, so my sweet girl could be the star. We all know it’s women who rule, it doesn’t matter if they're a beta or not. It’s not like a male omega could give any pack what they want—children.

They must be in the middle of a heat and it’s why she hasn’t answered. My sweet daughter is being rammed full of alpha and omega cock.

I set my phone down on the counter and step over to the wine bar now that I’ve put my worries to rest. I’ve just been on high alert, waiting to hear from Pack Messenger that they’ve completed the mating bond with the whore. She’s getting exactly what she deserves, three fat ugly alphas to match her.

With my phone safely put aside, I reach up to the wine rack, pulling out a glass and a bottle of Merlot. It’s time to celebrate my purchase and the future grand opening of my very own wine bar, compliments of the fucking whore. Who knew she would be so valuable? I’ve just popped the cork and poured myself a glass when I hear my phone buzzing. Looking down at it, I see it’s a message from an unknown number. I bet it’s going to be one of Lynnie’s new men reassuring me that my baby is in good hands.

Picking up my phone, I open the app, curiosity getting the better part of me. Right away I see there aren’t any words, just a picture. Maybe it’s a broken Nadia to brighten my day.

My heart drops when I open the message, the glass falling from my hand, hitting the counter before shattering on the floor, the contents spilling everywhere. It’s a picture of Lynnie tied to a chair. She’s almost unrecognizable.

My phone vibrates again. This time a video comes through.

I brace myself on the counter as I press play, my heart thumping wildly in my chest. There on the screen is my daughter, a man is in front of her, but he’s blurred, and his voice is distorted, so I can’t make him out.
